Vintage Harvey Draper "Les Bowman" model hunting knife with original fancy tooled leather sheath. Mirror polished 4 1/2" 440C stainless steel blade in 1/8" thick blade stock, 9 1/4" overall, beautiful French walnut finger groove handle, brass guard and Western style brass pommel with black & aluminum spacers. Excellent, unused condition. Here is your chance to own a rarely seen finger groove model by one of the greatest knifemakers of all time. This knife exhibits the legendary Draper blade grind, fit, and finish. Many considered him to be ahead of his time for a 1960-70's knifemaker. This knife has the H. E. Draper stamp which was the last version of the Draper stamp he used before his tragic plane crash in the early 1980's. The H. E. stamped knives are generally considered to be his finest work and this is an outstanding example.
